REALNETWORKS EDUCATION LICENSING PROGRAMME

RealNetworks have been listening to the requirements of educational establishments and are now introducing the New Education Licensing Programme. This programme will enable your organisation to build media rich, interactive Virtual Learning Environments allowing e-Learning to take place to all students regardless of their location.

The Real Education Licensing Program is based upon the number of licensed seats within your Institution.

Simply advise us on the number of seats that you wish to license and you will be able to choose the required number of licenses from the following RealNetworks components:

Helix Universal Unlimited Server - Our fully featured high performance discrete streaming media server, providing your institution with unlimited streaming capacity, allowing you to provide digital audio & video to students, whether they are within the institution or connecting via the Internet from home, other regions or Countries. Helix Universal Server streams multiple media formats including Real Media, Quick Time, MPEG-4 and Windows Media. You are able to use as many licenses as required in order to reach your students on your network.

RealProducer Plus - A multiple use license*, providing the industries highest quality encoding of audio & video sources into Real Media formats for broadcasting through the Helix Universal Server. RealProducer operates directly with digital video cameras and supports multiple file types including MPEG-1, MPEG-2 & AVI.

RealPlayer Enterprise Manager – Our Professional RealPlayer, providing a fully managed media player environment featuring:

• Central management and control of all RealPlayer Enterprise player
• Silent installation process and customisable installers
• Lockable Desktop Environment
• No advertising or pop-ups
• CD Burning and copying capabilities removed
• Updates restricted to a central location within your LAN behind the firewall

RealPlayer Enterprise Manager is licensed up to the number of seats purchased.

Helix Forward Proxy - Our high performance caching and stream splitting server software, providing your institution with unlimited caching and live streaming capacity. Helix Forward Proxy will maximise your internet connection by caching frequently used on-demand content and splitting live streams, such as live video broadcasts from other Universities, Research Institutions and Internet based media rich content resources. You are able to use as many licenses as required in order to reach your students on your network.

*Notes
For Universities the minimum purchase requirement is 500 seats. For all other institutions the minimum purchase requirement is 250 seats. Number of licenses must be specified at the time of ordering. Institutions that qualify are Campus based degree-granting educational institutions, K-12 Primary, Middle or High-School, School District or Local Education Authority. The license allows delivery to the number of users you have purchased the license for, which includes staff, full and part-time registered students. See EULA for full usage conditions
